🩺IMPROVE OVER-ALL HEALTH, ESPECIALLY GUT WITH PARASITE FIGHTERS.🩺
Eating parasite-fighting foods can play a significant role in improving overall health, particularly gut health. Parasites can disrupt the gut’s natural balance, leading to symptoms like bloating, fatigue, and digestive issues. Foods known for their anti-parasitic properties—such as garlic, pumpkin seeds, papaya, and ginger—can help eliminate harmful organisms and restore balance to the digestive system. These foods contain natural compounds that target and destroy parasites, prevent their growth, and support the gut’s healing process. By incorporating these foods into the diet, individuals can boost their immune system, enhance digestion, and promote better nutrient absorption, leading to overall improved well-being. Regularly consuming parasite-fighting foods can also strengthen gut health, reducing the risk of infections and inflammation, and fostering a healthier digestive tract.
In May 2025, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued updated guidelines urging healthcare providers to take women’s pain seriously during intrauterine device (IUD) insertions. This marks a significant shift toward patient-centered care, acknowledging the diverse and often intense pain experiences many individuals face during the procedure
Key Recommendations
Alternative Pain Management Options: In addition to pharmacological interventions, the guidelines acknowledge the use of non-pharmacological strategies, such as relaxation techniques, support persons, and the presence of a support person, to help manage discomfort during the procedure.
Pre-Procedure Counseling: The CDC advises that all patients be informed about the potential for pain during IUD insertion and be provided with information on pain management options. This approach encourages shared decision-making between patients and healthcare providers.
Use of Lidocaine: The guidelines recommend the use of lidocaine, either as a topical gel, cream, or spray, to numb the cervix and reduce pain during the procedure. This is an expansion from previous guidelines that primarily recommended lidocaine injections.
Avoidance of Misoprostol: The CDC advises against the routine use of misoprostol to soften the cervix before IUD insertion, as evidence of its effectiveness is limited and it may cause side effects.
Individualized Pain Management Plans: Recognizing that pain experiences vary, the CDC emphasizes the importance of tailoring pain management strategies to each patient’s preferences and medical history. This includes considering factors such as previous trauma, mental health conditions, and anxiety levels.

These updated guidelines represent a significant shift towards prioritizing patient experiences and preferences in reproductive healthcare. By incorporating individualized pain management strategies and fostering open communication, the CDC aims to improve patient satisfaction and accessibility of IUDs as a contraceptive option.
For more detailed information, healthcare providers and patients can refer to the CDC’s full guidelines on IUD insertion and pain management.
Every woman has a story, a memory, and an abuser of some kind.

It is alarmingly common for women to experience stalking, rape, and/or abuse by men in their lifetimes. According to the World Health Organization, about 1 in 3 women globally have experienced physical or sexual violence, most often by an intimate partner. In the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that approximately 1 in 5 women have been raped at some point in their lives, and 1 in 6 have been stalked. The vast majority of these acts are perpetrated by men the victims know—often current or former partners. These statistics highlight the widespread and gendered nature of violence against women, underscoring the urgent need for prevention, support, and systemic change.
UH OH SUMMER MIGHT BE OVER;
YOUR WELLNESS JOURNEY ISN’T
In the northern states, where autumn and winter bring significantly colder temperatures, there are still many effective ways to stay active and maintain a workout routine. Indoor options become especially popular—gyms offer everything from strength training to group fitness classes like yoga, spin, and HIIT. Home workouts are another convenient alternative, using minimal equipment or online fitness programs to guide strength, cardio, or flexibility routines. For those who enjoy being outdoors despite the cold, activities like brisk walking, running, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or even shoveling snow can provide excellent cardiovascular exercise, as long as proper clothing and safety precautions are taken. Many people also take advantage of indoor pools, ice rinks, or heated studios for variety. Staying consistent with movement during the colder months helps support physical health, manage seasonal mood changes, and boost energy levels through the darker seasons.
